Commit to a fun and (optionally!) competitive ride up the famous Tunitas Creek Road to support a good cause. Feel good knowing that $50 of your registration goes directly to Abundant Grace to employ people experiencing homelessness to work on the farm behind The Bike Hut.
Complete the Tunitas climb on your own between July 1st and the 16th. Ride as many times as you like! *Competitive times must be submitted on the RunSignup Results Page.
Record your best time on the RunSignup Results Page. *Please note, you MUST submit your time to appear on our leaderboard, unlike in past years. We will confirm competitive times on Strava, so follow our guidelines to make sure your time is properly submitted. Top times in each age category will be forever displayed on a gorgeous plaque inside the Bike Hut for all to see! E-bikes are welcome to participate but will not be counted in the leaderboard.
Stop by the farm behind the Bike Hut (1045 Tunitas Creek Rd; Half Moon Bay) between 10am and 1pm to pick up your T-shirt (see design below!); see the fastest times in each category; enjoy ice cream sundaes and live music; collect prizes for all raffle winners; and meet the staff at Abundant Grace Coastside Worker.
We are beyond excited to share the Bike Hut Classic 2023 original artwork by HBS Artworks! Click here to see this year's full design and tee.
All proceeds from the Bike Hut Classic go directly to Abundant Grace Coastside Worker to help address the homeless crisis on the Coast. That's $50 from each participant! Abundant Grace runs twice weekly "job readiness" programs at Potrero Nuevo Farm, allowing those experiencing homelessness to work with the farm managers to grow thousands of pounds of organic produce each year, which are donated to low-income families in Half Moon Bay. Abundant Grace also runs a farm apprenticeship program that includes accountability and mindfulness workshops. Additionally, they have a Coastal Clean Team that clears trash from our beaches, and in 2020 opened a WorkForce Development Center to provide resources to folks who desperately need them. Learn more about Abundant Grace at the Bike Hut Classic open house on the farm (behind the Bike Hut) on July 29.
